Data science is a field of study that takes the vast range of data available in society and analyzes it using algorithms, statistics, and AI to find useful knowledge and create new value for society and organizations. Data science is being introduced into all sorts of fields, including economics, government, transportation, medicine, education, the environment, sports, and entertainment. Our faculty trains specialists who can turn data into value for society.

Three new programs have been created: Business Data Science, Advanced Information Strategy, and Sports & Health Data Science. - The Future Creation Project, starting in the first year
Students study first-hand advanced cases of data science utilization to understand its depth and appeal. Diverse learning is led by faculty specializing in a range of expertise. - Cutting-edge data science education environment
As a base for seminar activities, the Faculty of Data Science has established a joint research area called Co-Labo, one of the few private university facilities in Japan where faculty and students work and study side by side.

Business Data Science Program
In a society where information technology is becoming increasingly advanced and difficult to predict, we develop students who combine the ability to analyze, understand, and utilize AI and data with the ‘human qualities’ that people can trust, and who can create, maintain, and develop new businesses.

Advanced Information Strategy Program
Students will acquire practical analytical skills based on constantly evolving, cutting-edge information technology, and the ability to clearly communicate the results of analysis. The goal is to cultivate students who can support strategic decision-making in a variety of corporate activities.

Sports & Health Data Science Program
Students will learn techniques to optimize training, analyze team strength, and estimate mental and physical states using eye trackers, motion sensors, and other cutting-edge sensing and visualization technologies. The program aims to develop talent who can use data and AI to bring about innovation in the fields of sports and health.
