2025年10月10日、門脇英純 副学長（芸術学部教授）と山中コ～ジ准教授は、ヴュルツブルク?シュヴァインフルト応用科学工科大学（THWS）Gunther Benkert教授（建築?建築技術学部副学部長、国際代表）のスタジオ（ミュンヘン）にて面会を行いました。

ヴュルツブルク?シュヴァインフルト応用科学工科大学（Technische Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt,THWS）は、ドイツ?バイエルン州にある公立実践型大学で、工学?デザイン?社会科学など幅広い学問分野を有しています。
二都市キャンパスを活かし、「実践に根ざした科学」を理念に理論と現場を結ぶ教育を展開し、60か国以上の学生が学び、国際教育と地域連携を重視しています。
同年5月に山中准教授が同大学でレクチャーを行ったことを契機に、本連携の話が具体化してきました。

今回の訪問は、両大学の交換留学や学生交流プログラムの実施を目的とした、大学間協定書の正式締結に向けた調整が主な目的です。
本協議では、教育交流および学生派遣の具体的な実施方法についても意見交換を行い、まずは短期研修プログラムから交流を目指すことで一致しました。
2026年秋を目途に、同大学建築系学生約10名が大阪成蹊大学を来訪する方向で計画しています。

芸術学部では、2026年からのドルトムント科学芸術大学（ドイツ）、ヴュルツブルク?シュヴァインフルト応用科学工科大学（ドイツ）との国際交流?共同研究の実現にむけ、準備を進めていきます。

On October 10, 2025, Vice President Hidezumi Kadowaki (Professor, Faculty of Arts) and Assoc. Prof. Koji Yamanaka met with Prof. Gunther Benkert (Vice Dean and International Representative, Faculty of Architecture and Building Technology) of the Technische Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) at his studio in Munich.

Technische Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) is a public university of applied sciences located in Bavaria, Germany.
The university offers a wide range of academic disciplines, including engineering, design, and social sciences.
Utilizing its two-city campus structure, THWS promotes an education that bridges theory and practice under the philosophy of “science rooted in practice.” More than 60 nationalities are represented among its students, and the university places strong emphasis on both international education and regional collaboration.

The discussions leading to this partnership began after Assoc. Prof. Yamanaka delivered a lecture at THWS in May of the same year.
The main purpose of this visit was to coordinate toward the formal signing of an inter-university agreement aimed at implementing exchange and study-abroad programs between the two institutions.
During the meeting, both sides also discussed specific approaches for educational exchange and student dispatch, agreeing to begin with a short-term training program.
A plan is underway for approximately ten architecture students from THWS to visit Osaka Seikei University in the fall of 2026.
The Faculty of Arts will continue preparing for international exchanges and collaborative research projects with both the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Germany) and the Technische Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt (Germany), starting in 2026.
